So again ... it's been a long time..since I was here..seems like the initial adrenaline is dying down ..but I just hope to take some more people on-board(Sauron aka Sumit is already here) so that this blog can be more regular.Now that we are done with niceties ..let's talk some business :).
It's been an eventful period ..(though I am not sure, which period is not when you are at XL ..Never Mind :D ).Seniors organized a simulation for MAXI fair, all the juniors were divided into teams and assigned some senior mentors. Then they were given a product name, our job was to think of a product(which can be anything, as long as it is cool and whacky ;) ) and have to devise a marketing strategy and design a marketing campaign for it.All done by students !!! XL was our canvass and we painted it in all the colours possible :D
We also had O3(Oracle of Omaha- a stock trading simulation game where the team which would make most money will win.For a financial illiterate like me it was a tremendous learning experience.We participated in FLOOR TRADING !!! Which I guess was quite a simulation of real life.
My team lost :(.
but my friend won and now we are all gearing up for the party that we will eventually wiggle out of him ;).
At XL, we all win ... one way or the other !!! :D
