Bummer!!

Suddenly, there seems to be so much to do!! Mid-terms, assignments, projects, quizzes....all round the corner. ARGHHH!!!!!

The heat is on...

Got a taste of 4 lectures in a day. :( Tomorrow, we have 5 of them. The probability of getting kicked out of class for sleeping seems to get higher and higher. :-

XLRI book of records

Went for trekking yesterday (Dalma hills).Came completely exhausted (given that I hadn't slept for the last 35 hours :)).Slept for 12 hours continuously and entered the "hall of fame" of longest "sleepers" at XL.
Conclusion :No matter how much u sleep the previous nite ;u'll still reach late for the next morning class :P .

Day -30-31(12th-13th July,2008)

Got introduced to informal committees (like JMAXI, COWBAXI and also OMAXI ). Completed a month at XL and went trekking to Dalma hills ... man I am tired and I have so much to do .. for that surprise quiz we all are expecting tomorrow :(.

SACked!!

Lost the student affairs council (SAC) elections (narrowly) yesterday...but I'm trying to treat it like a blessing in disguise...maybe I will end up being a 6-pointer, instead of as a 5-point-someone. :P

Day -18-29(29 June-10th July,2008)

So again ... it's been a long time..since I was here..seems like the initial adrenaline is dying down ..but I just hope to take some more people on-board(Sauron aka Sumit is already here) so that this blog can be more regular.Now that we are done with niceties ..let's talk some business :).

It's been an eventful period ..(though I am not sure, which period is not when you are at XL ..Never Mind :D ).Seniors organized a simulation for MAXI fair, all the juniors were divided into teams and assigned some senior mentors. Then they were given a product name, our job was to think of a product(which can be anything, as long as it is cool and whacky ;) ) and have to devise a marketing strategy and design a marketing campaign for it.All done by students !!! XL was our canvass and we painted it in all the colours possible :D

We also had O3(Oracle of Omaha- a stock trading simulation game where the team which would make most money will win.For a financial illiterate like me it was a tremendous learning experience.We participated in FLOOR TRADING !!! Which I guess was quite a simulation of real life.

My team lost :(.

but my friend won and now we are all gearing up for the party that we will eventually wiggle out of him ;).

At XL, we all win ... one way or the other !!! :D

At 1.40 am, where else would you find a set of Indians (seniors and juniors alike) from all corners of the country, gathered in a room in Jharkhand, cheering a Spaniard and a Swiss? Where else? At XL, of course!!!
